Alfonso III is an octagonal prism table mirror in scagliola, entirely handcrafted according to the traditional techniques of Carpi, a historic centre of Italian scagliola production. The piece is created using natural glues and mineral pigments, with the plaster carefully worked and modelled to reproduce the veining and tonal depth of marble.
 
Each surface reveals subtle variations produced through the artisanal process, giving the object a distinctive material presence. The satin-finished mirror is set within a brass frame, whose warm tones echo the nuanced colours of the scagliola body.
 
Balancing historical craftsmanship with contemporary geometric clarity, Alfonso III stands as both a functional mirror and a sculptural object within contemporary Italian design.
