Handcrafted in Bologna, Amphora tells the story of a distant past, steeped in regional traditions of an ancient popular culture. Its slender, circular shape echoes the traditional design that allowed for easy handling and practical transport of liquids. At the top, an aluminium handle facilitates grip and is decorated with unique and elegant natural details.
 
The ring shape, consisting of a tubular steel structure, is surrounded by a knitted leather surface, handmade by Cecilia Rinaldi owner of the atelier.
In ancient times, leather was valued for its waterproof qualities and used to store and transport liquids. Here, it is reimagined as a contemporary textile weave.
 
Amphora won the third edition of the Starhotels “La Grande Bellezza - La fabbrica dei sogni” award, on the theme “Souvenir del Grand Tour” 2024.
