Each sculpture embraces the irregularities inherent in nature. Stems may curve unexpectedly, caps may appear incomplete, and surfaces may show subtle bubbles or marks. Rather than imperfections, these characteristics express what Zamberletti describes as “the real uniqueness and beauty of nature.”
The Funghi collection draws on the artist’s enduring connection to the natural world.
As Lucia Zamberletti reflects, “I still remember the sense of wonder I felt as a child, walking through the woods with my father and learning to recognise mushrooms.” For her, fungi are more than botanical forms — they are cultural markers: collected, cooked, valued for their healing properties, and remembered across generations.
Since 2018, Lucia Zamberletti has shaped more than one hundred variations, ensuring that every piece remains distinct and characterful.
