NOMADIC Totem 2026 is a modular ceramic sculpture by Italian artist Lucia Zamberletti that invites interaction, contemplation, and play. Composed of individually handcrafted ceramic elements threaded onto a slender iron structure, the work can be assembled in multiple configurations, allowing each collector to create a personal composition.
 
Rooted in Lucia's ongoing exploration of touch and materiality, Totem transforms ceramics into a sensory experience. Rough and sandy surfaces coexist with smooth glazed finishes, revealing the unpredictable beauty of the firing process and making every element unique and irreproducible.
Inspired by the natural world yet moving beyond idealised forms, the sculptural components appear organic, layered, and sometimes unexpectedly complex. Through touch and rearrangement, the work encourages a slower and more intimate relationship with objects, recalling the freedom and curiosity of childhood play.
 
Continuing the reflections initiated in The Memory of Touch, Totem proposes a small ritual of presence within an increasingly digital world, reaffirming the importance of matter, gesture, and physical experience.
