Part of Daniela Daz Moretti's most recent body of work, Geografie expands her long-standing investigation into the Nest (Nido) beyond its sculptural form and onto the surface.
 
Handcrafted in clay and kiln-fired, this wall-mounted ceramic work exists between painting and sculpture. Layers of texture, traces, gestures, and colour accumulate across the surface, creating a landscape that is at once physical and imagined. Soft tones of white, blue, pink, and black unfold like fragments of memory, suggesting territories that are emotional rather than geographical.
 
For Daniela, the Nest is not a fixed form but an imaginative origin capable of generating new images and ways of inhabiting space. In the Geografie series, the Nest transcends its physical boundaries and becomes an interior landscape—an emotional map where memory, imagination, and experience converge.
